Description (Service) This topic record covers Daylight Saving Time and Standard Time, how to find exact time, and international time zone charts. 
* Daylight Saving Time begins second Sunday in March at 2 am (move clock ahead one hour) 
* Standard Time begins first Sunday in November at 2 am (move clock back one hour)  
In Canada, official time is determined by the National Research Council's atomic clocks.

* telephone talking clock 613-745-1576  
* official 1 pm time signal, broadcast daily on CBC Radio English network (12 noon on French network)
