Halton Region (including Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills and Oakville) moved to Stage 3 of reopening effective Friday, July 24, 2020. Nearly all businesses and public spaces are gradually reopening with restrictions in place, while some high-risk venues and activities will remain closed until they can safely resume operations. For information on what is opening and what remains closed visit Halton Region web page here
Halton Region has also implemented a Halton-wide temporary bylaw requiring everyone aged five and up to wear a non-medical mask or face covering in enclosed public spaces. This bylaw came into effect on July 22 and will expire on November 30, with the option for regional council to extend this date. There are several exemptions to the rule, including for people with underlying health conditions that inhibit their ability to wear a mask. See here for further information.
