Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Refer to Town of Oakville Recreation and Culture Programs FAQs for the most current information on Town of Oakville Recreation and Culture facilities and programs ------------------------------------------------ Information on skateboard classes available in the Parks, Recreation and Culture Guide. * helmets are mandatory at skateboard parks * additional personal protective equipment such as wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads are recommended * the use of BMX or mountain bikes is prohibited George Savage Park * 3200 George Savage Avenue (beside Oodenawi Public School) * 3,800 square foot park * includes a quarter pipe, flat ledge, flat bar, rooftop wedge to wedge and rooftop ledge, manual box and out-ledge combination and cantilevered turnaround banks Glen Abbey Park/Community Centre * 1415 Third Line * 3,500 square foot park built on concrete pad * includes several ramps, grind rails, a planter, grind box and jersey barrier Glenashton Park/Iroquois Ridge Community Centre * 1051 Glenashton Drive * 3,500 square foot park built on concrete pad * several ramps, a mini half pipe, a planter, a kinked grind rail, a grind box and stairs Shell Park * 3307 Lakeshore Road West * 14,000 square foot park * 26 cement ramps * open year round weather permitting * skateboard classes are offered in the Spring and Fall |
