Description (Service) | A volunteer citizens' advisory committee to Council, reporting through the Environment, Infrastructure and Community Services Committee * provides advice on identification, removal and prevention of barriers to people with disabilities in the municipality's by-laws and policies, programs and services * assists with preparation of the City's multi-year accessibility plan * regularly reviews site-plans submitted to the Planning Department * promotes accessibility and disability awareness through public education, trade shows, and the Burlington's Best Awards |
