Description (Service)

The band membership is comprised primarily of civilian volunteers. Some members are police officers, while others are retired police or peace officers. The HRPS P&D continues to grow with up-and-coming student musicians

  • made up of 16 pipers, five snares and one bass drummer
  • wear the tartan of the Chisholm clan, the founding fathers of the Town of Oakville
  • performs by permission of the Chief of Police at a variety of community events within and beyond Halton Region over the course of a calendar year
  • three-hour practice nights are held weekly throughout the entire year, with extra nights being afforded newer members for more dedicated instruction
