Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC): 
* a course for newcomers to Canada who need basic introductory training to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills 
* available at campuses in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville 
* 14-week program 
* various starting dates throughout the year 
* full-time program, running Monday to Friday 9:15 am-1:45 pm 
 
Occupation-specific Language Training (OSLT):  
* a program for people who are educated and trained in their home country, and need to improve their workplace communication skills 
* improves ability to get a job in Canada with workplace-specific vocabulary training 
* develops strong interviewing, networking and communication skills 
* teaches career-specific English language and Canadian culture in areas such as Health Sciences, Business and Technology professions  
* blended course format (evenings and online components) allows students to fit education around work and other life responsibilities  
* minimum post-secondary degree or diploma and relevant work experience in home country required 
* minimum CLB score of 6 and above required 
 
Enhanced Language Training (ELT): 
* a program for people who are educated and trained in their home country, and need to improve English language skills 
* 12-week, full-time program  
* teaches career-specific English language, employment preparation and Canadian culture 
* minimum post-secondary degree or diploma and relevant work experience in home country required 
* minimum CLB score of 6 and above required
