Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Fresh food boxes are packed and delivered throughout the region on Tuesdays every month * orders for food boxes are taken up to 11 days prior to box delivery day 
* Milton on the first Tuesday 
* Oakville on the second Tuesday 
* Burlington on the third Tuesday 
* Halton Hills on the fourth Tuesday 
* a drop site volunteer coordinator takes orders for the food boxes, arranges for the delivery site for the boxes and organizes customer pick up  
* fresh food boxes are available to anyone who would like to purchase a singles bag, small box or a family size box, for any reason - health, cost, supporting local farmers, easy access  
* the fresh fruits and vegetables are bulk purchased offering quality and value at below retail cost  
* focus is on seasonal produce 
The coordinator is working to set up more drop sites: 
* new sites require a site coordinator, a place to drop the boxes once a month and at least eight orders 
* vegetable and fruit farmers are invited to contact the coordinator regarding their produce and potential sales

Eligibility Boxes are available to anyone in the community who would like to purchase them * prioritizes helping people living on lower incomes i.e. seniors, families with access issues and new Canadians just learning about food grown in Ontario
