DescriptionLast Post Fund is a non-profit and registered charitable organization for the purpose of ensuring the provision of dignified funeral and burial services on behalf of war veterans and disability pensioners, who, at the time of death, meet service and financial eligibility criteria, or are entitled to financial assistance towards last sickness, funeral, burial and/or cremation expenses, as a matter-of-right. 
 
Last Post Fund National office is in Montreal, with provincial offices in every province except Prince Edward Island which is administered by the New Brunswick Branch * national and provincial organizations comprise both volunteer members and paid employees * responsibilities include management and operation of the funeral and burial program * liaison is with Veterans Affairs Canada on all matters affecting program delivery * comprehensive and updated account of of the Last Post Fund mission, organizations and other pertinent information may be viewed on the Internet web site.
