Description (Service) When an emergency occurs within Halton, the Regional Emergency Plan can be invoked if requested by the affected municipality, if the emergency involves more than one municipality, or if the emergency response requires extraordinary action or expenditures by one or more regional service. 
* emergencies could include plane crashes, chemical spills, train derailments, tornadoes, floods or blizzards
