DescriptionA food bank operating entirely by the work of volunteers since 1988. As a registered charity and non profit organization the food bank collects donations in order to provide food to those who need it. 
 
* official food drives are held the week before Easter and Thanksgiving 
* food donation bins can be found at various supermarkets and local fire stations 
* can also drop food donations at Fareshare Food Bank location 
* if necessary arrangements can be made to pick up donations.  
 
Tax receipts given for cash donations. 
Program participants are eligible to receive a food order once each calendar month.
HoursMon 10 am-2 pm; Thu 3 pm-7 pm; 
Phone messages checked regularly.
EligibilityThe Fareshare Food Bank program is only available to residents of Oakville. 
Participants are screened for financial need.
ApplicationApplicants are asked to come to the Food Bank during the hours listed above to be registered for participation.
