Visit the website for further information. --------------------------------------------- Provides mother to mother support for those who: * are expecting a baby and want to know more about breastfeeding * are already breastfeeding and want help with challenges * need information on starting solids or weaning * want to meet other breastfeeding moms to share support and experiences Meeting topics include: * benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby * avoiding, identifying and overcoming breastfeeding difficulties * optimizing position and latch * adjusting to life with a breastfed baby * breastfed baby behaviour * mothers are encouraged to attend drop-ins before the baby's birth and continue until weaning * group leader is an experienced nursing mother with up-to-date breastfeeding knowledge and training |
