Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Provides conversation group therapy for people with aphasia, an acquired language disorder caused by stroke, brain injury or brain illness * follows a life participation approach - enhancing communication skills and quality of life of people with aphasia * sessions are facilitated by speech-language pathologists and communicative disorders assistants with the support of trained volunteers and students

Eligibility Adults who can attend a 2 or 3 hour program * medically stable * independent in the washroom and independent with eating and drinking (unless attended by a caregiver * have a means of transportation * wish to improve their communication
