Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mandatory Information Programs (MIPs) are suspended until regular court operations resume. Please contact an AXIS IRC at the court you were scheduled to attend your MIP, and they will provide you information on rescheduling. 
 
Designed to ensure that parties starting a court application or bringing a motion to change are provided with upfront information to help the parties make informed decisions about the next steps in the parties’ family law case. Programs are managed by local family mediation and information service providers. In Hamilton the provider is AXIS Family Mediation Inc.

Areas Served Hamilton (City of) ; Hamilton MIP's are mostly attended by individuals with court actions in Hamilton but open to any individual with a court action in a family court in Ontario
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up
Application Sessions are scheduled on filing of an application that starts a family law case, and when a moving party brings a motion to change a final order. The applicant or moving party will receive two notices: one that advises when the applicant should attend the MIP and one that advises when the other party is to attend the MIP. Members of the public are welcome to attend Mandatory Information Program sessions, but registration is required.
