Description (Agency) Non-profit group of women of all ages (do not have to be a grandmother), that acts locally in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign, which seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support for African grandmothers struggling to secure a future for their grandchildren orphaned or made vulnerable due to HIV/AIDS

Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Raise funds and offer educational opportunities that support the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. 
* funds donated through Burlington Ubuntu Grandwomen go directly to the Stephen Lewis Foundation, a registered charity which issues tax receipts for these donations  
* donated funds are used to provide grandmothers with assistance such as food, school fees and school uniforms for their grandchildren, income-generating projects, counselling and social support and coffins for burial of loved ones  
 
Participates in Stride to Turn the Tide National Walk for the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
Hours Meetings: Third Wednesday of the month, 7 pm at Burlington Baptist Church, 2225 New St, Burlington.
