Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Non-profit, volunteer-run regional chapter of Autsim Ontario 
* oversight is provided by core provincial staff 
* works to ensure that each individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is provided with the means to achieve quality of life as a respected member of society 
 
Chapter activities include: 
* increasing public awareness about autism and the day-to-day issues faced by individuals with autism, their families and the professionals with whom they interact 
* providing information and education, supporting research and advocating for programs and services 
* meetings and events take place in various locations across Halton 
 
Spirale  
* an online resource that provides parents and caregivers with information to locate regulated professionals and experienced autism workers  
 
Knowledge Base 
* a bilingual database of brief, easy to understand documents that are relevant to the lives of youth and adults with ASD and their families 
 
ABACUS 
* an online resource that provides information for parents and caregivers about Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) services in Ontario 
 
Calypso 
* an online resource that provides information for parents and caregivers about camps for children and adults with ASD in Ontario
