Description (Service) Women's service club committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community
  • members are provided with hands-on and experiential training in areas such as community research, communication, fundraising and governance/management 
  • work with other local organizations to address unmet critical needs in the community 
  • current focus is on improving the educational success of young women affected by poverty
Community programs include:
  • mentoring young women to enhance basic life skills 
  • Discretionary Fund (provides modest financial support to other organizations whose needs and programs align with the Junior League Mission) 
  • Bursary (provides financial assistance to participants of ongoing JLHB community programs to assist them in achieving educational success)
