Service Information
Service DescriptionCadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They make valuable contributions to Canadian society on a daily basis in terms of environmental, citizenship and community activities. 
Cadets also learn valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership and citizenship. 
 
Training includes: sailing, seamanship, range/marksmanship, music/band, sports/fitness, drill and leadership training 
* additional summer training programs take place at free cadet camps in Kingston ON, Comox BC or Nova Scotia  
* international exchange programs and summer employment opportunities 
* high school volunteer hours earned 
 
Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectations for them to join the military.
HoursRegular cadet training: Wed 6:15 pm-9:30 pm

Meeting DetailsWeekly during regular school year (average one night a week), plus some additional weekend training depending on need/interest
