Description (Agency) Safe emergency shelter for abused women over the age of 16, with or without children, operating Mon-Sun 24 hours * provides all meals, emergency clothing and personal needs * free emergency transportation by taxi for abused women and their children.

Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Programs include: 
* Womens Centre of Hamilton (for more information see separate record here
* Flamborough Women's Resource Centre (for more information see separate record here
* Counselling services for residents (one-to-one and group counselling, with follow-up support for past residents) 
* Counselling services for women living in the community on a one-to-one basis 
* Child and Youth program (in-house recreational and therapeutic intervention for child witnesses of domestic violence against women, including group programs) 
* Jared's Place for residents and women living in the community (provides information and support on criminal law, family law, immigration law, police, legal aid and finding a lawyer) 
* Transitional Support Program for women living in the community (provides assistance to women and their children in identifying and connecting with the kinds of support and services required to establish violence and abuse-free lives) 
* Information and advocacy on legal rights, employment, housing and education (cultural interpretation available) 
* Referral service to community supports and agencies 
* Speakers to schools, professional agencies, inter-faith communities and community groups on the topic of violence against women (call the office to make arrangements) 
* In-service training for professionals  
All services are confidential and provided at no cost
