Halton Region Health Department offers a variety of immunization services:  
* provides information and counselling about immunizations and vaccines to members of the community and health care providers 
* maintains an immunization database for all children in child care and students in schools 
* enforces associated legislation  
* distributes publicly funded vaccine to community providers, including to physician offices, pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement and rest homes, and allied health care agencies 
* provides publicly funded immunizations for students who are eligible for HPV, MeningococcalC-ACYW125, and Hepatitis B vaccines at school and scheduled community clinics 
* promotes the seasonal influenza immunization program through the provision vaccine to community providers  
* provides cold chain inspections for fridges housing publicly funded vaccine
