Description (Service) | Provides prevention and early intervention services for children and youth at risk of developing an eating disorder in a warm, safe, and inclusive environment for all bodies Programs and services include: Expressive Arts * offered virtually and in-person on an ongoing basis Confident Me * 8-week group that runs virtually and in-person for female-identifying and non-binary youth ages 12-14 Free Being Me * for female-identifying youth ages 8-11 Virtual Parent Support Group * bi-monthly drop-in for parents/carers who have a child/youth affected by an eating disorder or have adolescents transitioning to adult care * facilitated by Peer Support Workers, this group hosts monthly guest speakers Embrace and Empower * focuses on the historical and social influences that can impact Queer and/or Trans youth ages 13-17, their body image, body perception, identity and relationship with food Authentically Me * 7-week program for female-identifying and non-binary youth ages 15-17 who are interested in building their body image and body acceptance SibShop * provides siblings of children/youth affected by eating disorders the opportunity to meet other sibs who share a similar experience in a relaxed, recreational and fun environment Eating Empowered * drop-in program provides youth with the opportunity to learn new life skills related to cooking and nutrition and focuses heavily on the importance of honouring your hunger |
