Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Promotes the health of children and youth (school entry until age 18) and their families by providing a variety of programs and services. 
Delivers health promotion supports to identified schools in Halton Region related to key issues that impact health and learning: 
* engages students and parents in the school community to work on addressing health in their local neighbourhood 
* together with the school community, builds and implements comprehensive action plans that address issues such as mental health, substance abuse, physical activity, healthy eating and injury prevention 
Delivers parenting supports to schools through at-school programs and online supports ( 
Promotes positive parenting, healthy and active living, mental health (parent and child) and injury prevention through the HaltonParents website and social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Wordpress blogs)
