Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Proof of vaccination now required for some settings. Patrons must provide proof of vaccination and identification with a name and date of birth that matches the vaccine certificate to access certain settings. To get the latest information on Halton Region’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program including who is currently eligible as well as transportation and accessibility options, please visit Website is updated frequently as the program progresses, and residents are asked to check regularly for the latest information.Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are being provided at Halton community COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

Based on current inventory and Provincial direction, the following individuals are eligible for vaccination:
  • First doses of Pfizer paediatric dose (10 mcg) for children 5 to 11 years of age (born in 2016 or earlier and turning five in 2021 - appointment required). Appointments for 5 to 11 year olds are also available at select pharmacies and primary care providers & paediatric offices in Halton. Parents can decide which setting is best for their child, based on age and other personal factors. Information to assist with the decision is available on Halton Region's 5-11 webpage.
  • Anyone five years of age or older (born in 2016 or earlier and turning five in 2021) who lives, works or goes to school in Halton Region is eligible to be vaccinated for COVID-19. It is recommended that the second dose is received eight weeks after the first dose (minimum of 21-28 days required)
  • Walk-ins are available at Halton Community Clinics on designated days/times for first and second doses for those 12 years or older. See website for specific dates/times that walk-ins are available.
  • Third/booster doses for eligible individuals - appointment required.
  • Third/booster doses for individuals 18 years of age or older (born in 2003 or earlier) are now available - an appointment is required. Residents are eligible 6 months (or 168 days) after second dose date. Calculate when you are eligible for your third/booster shot using Halton's Online Third Dose Calculator.
Accessibility and Accommodation
  • American Sign Language interpretation is available and provided by a remote video interpretation service
  • wheelchairs are available at each of the clinic sites
  • language interpretation services are available by telephone on site for residents who do not speak English

Select pharmacies across Halton region are booking appointments for Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, now including Paediatric Pfizer doses for children age 5 to 11.
  • you must have a valid Ontario health (OHIP) card, or other form of valid government-issued identification
  • most pharmacies require appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins. Check with the pharmacy before you go.
