* language assistance and literacy needs 
* newcomer settlement and integration support  
* counselling and advocacy for immigrants and help bridging cultural gaps  
* orientation of the Canadian school system, and information about rights of parents within the system  
* social events and networking  
* translation and interpreting  
* cultural and artistic activities for all ages (music, art, literature, dance, other cultural events) 
* promotes social activism 
* support for seniors (overcoming isolation/loneliness, transportation, networking, field trips, guiding them to access existing appropriate resources) 
* presentations on subjects of interest by experts 
 
* meetings at various locations
