Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Heritage Services fosters discovery, appreciation and understanding of Halton's heritage, manages the Region’s artifact and archival collections, and supports a network of heritage-related organizations in the community. 
Halton Region Heritage Services serves residents, researchers and community organizations through four key program areas: 
Share: Helps residents learn more about Halton’s history through exhibitions, programming and assist with local historical collections research.  
Preserve: Care for Halton’s historical collections and manage a local history reference library. 
Network: Coordinate a region-wide network of local heritage organizations that work together to share and preserve Halton’s rich history. 
Advise: Provide support services to Heritage Network partner organizations to ensure the ongoing preservation of local history and culture across the Region.
