Tenant Duty Counsel Program -- tenants with a scheduled hearing with the Landlord and Tenant Board within five days may visit tdc.acto.ca/ to sign up for free legal advice from a Tenant Duty Counsel who will call you before your hearing

  • no direct legal services for individuals except in relation to test cases,  people requiring legal advice or representation relating to housing issues should contact a local community legal clinic
  • law reform, policy development, community organizing
  • public legal education including tip sheet providing legal information on common tenant concerns available on website
  • funded by Legal Aid Ontario
Tenant Duty Counsel Program -- legal advice and information for unrepresented low income tenants, provided at offices across Ontario where the Landlord and Tenant Board (see separate entry) hold their meetings, walk-in service only
