Description (Service) | The regional sexual assault and domestic violence care centre of Halton * provides specialized health care, police services and agency referrals for women and men who have experienced sexual assault within the past 12 days and recent domestic violence * offers choices of care * services can be provided with or without police involvement Services include: * sexual assault services (youth & adult) * domestic violence services (youth & adult) * children's services (for individuals under the age of 13) Counselling: * short-term counselling is available for anyone who has recently (within 2 years) experienced sexual assault or domestic violence * provided by a specially trained registered social worker * for those who do not require medical care, contact the Social Worker directly at 905-681-4880 to book an appointment |
