| Description (Service) | 60 bed long-term care home * residential care for 8 private rooms with private bathroom, 14 semi-private rooms with shared bathroom, and six basic rooms with shared bathroom * Special Care Unit with 14 beds for residents with dementia * 24-hour nursing and personal care * residents require own transportation or taxi services because of rural location * laundry * meals * administration of medication/treatments * recreation and social programs Services include: * Resident First Program: falls management * wound and skin care * pain and symptom management * therapeutic and diagnostic programs: social services * speech language pathology * radiology * pharmaceutical * laboratory * occupational therapy * medical care, Mon-Sun 24 hours (regular and emergency) * physiotherapy * routine daily care by personal support workers/healthcare aides * consulting Registered Dietitian * pastoral care Other services available, for a fee, include: * dental services * podiatry * hairdressing/barber services * ironing & mending * telephone * cable TV and Internet * guest meals |
