Public Comments Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 
 
* ARCH Clinic will only be seeing patients in-person on a case-by-case basis. All other appointments will be offered online through OTN eVisits. You will be contacted before your appointment for individual arrangements.  
* ARCH Clinic's Anonymous Rapid Point-of-Care HIV testing is cancelled until further notice. If you require HIV testing, please contact our clinic at 519-780-5298, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 519-780-5298, or Region of Waterloo Public Health at 519-575-4400.  
* Harm reduction supplies will NO LONGER be distributed at our ARCH office on Westmount Road. You can continue to access harm reduction supplies at the Stay Sharp office located in the Guelph Community Health Center.  
* In-person programs such as groups and drop-in services will not be running until further notice. This includes appointments; drop-in meetings and services with our support team (Matt and Mindy); and our drop-in programs like the Trans Peer Drop-in and the LGBTQ+ Youth Drop-In. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are feeling lonely or isolated. If you are living with HIV and are in need of support for things like groceries and transportation, reach out to Matt at 519-763-2255 x126 or support@archguelph.ca.

Provides AIDS support, education, prevention, treatment and community development programs and advocate on behalf of individuals and/or groups affected by HIV. ARCH Clinic provides HIV medical treatment and care.

ARCH Clinic:
  • healthcare team of doctors and nurses provide a continuum of care for people living with HIV. Transgender health care is also available. 
  • lab services are available on site for bloodwork - be advised that in order to ensure that blood specimens arrive at the laboratory by the cut-off time blood samples must be drawn by 3:30 pm 
  • clinical services only for people living in Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin, and Grey-Bruce Counties
Support Services:
  • case management for persons living with HIV/AIDS to assess needs and establish a continuum of support services  
  • practical support: transportation to medical appointments, limited financial assistance, home and hospital visits  
  • referrals for complementary therapies 
  • benefits counselling and advocacy to facilitate access to government benefit programs (Trillium, ODSP, CPP, Ontario Works)  
  • treatment information
African-Caribbean Community Development:
  • form partnerships with the A-C ethnocultural associations to partner in capacity building and community development to address the issues related to HIV/AIDS and newcomers
Education Program:
  • non-judgmental, accurate information about HIV/AIDS and related topics delivered through workshops, seminars, HIV/AIDS information line, brochure distribution, peer education training. Hosts Trans Drop-in programming on Tuesdays.
Capacity Building Program:
  • aims to empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS, promote healthy relationships, strengthen overall well-being of HIV + individuals
Harm Reduction:
  • to reduce the spread of HIV and Hepatitis B and C, encourages safer drug use and safer sex, provides access to health and social service agencies, offers support to drug users, and provides education (new syringes, safe needle delivery, sterile water, alcohol swabs, latex condoms, lubricant and other harm reduction materials provided as needed)
Needle Exchange Program:
  • distribution of harm reduction materials including syringes, water, filters, swabs, ties, Naloxone; Sharps containers for safe disposal of used needles.
Women's Community Development:
    aims to build local community capacity to respond to women's HIV and AIDS prevention needs and to improve the quality of life for women living with or affected by HIV and AIDS
Youth Outreach:
  • peer-based outreach program
Testing and Immunization Clinics:
  • anonymous and confidential HIV testing, Hep B/C testing, some STI's; Hepatitis B immunization as well as Hepatitis A for those involved in high risk activities
Hours Office: Mon-Thu 9 am-5 pm (closed for lunch from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm), Fri 9 am-1 pm, call to schedule appointments outside office hours and/or at alternative locations
