Do you have a background in finance or human resources? Are you looking for a way to contribute your expertise to a non-profit organization? The Family Place Child Care Centre is looking for new board members with expertise in child care. Since 1982, The Family Place Child Care has been providing non-profit child care to children in Milton and Oakville.  
 
We are currently looking for an individual with a background in finance or human resources who can contribute to the ongoing success of our organization. Our board meets bi-monthly on Wednesdays via Zoom and you would be required to commit to a two-year term.

Family Place (The), Milton - Bishop Reding High School, Licensed Child Care Centre

Are you a lawyer, specializing in employment law and looking to give back to a non-profit organization in Halton Region? The Family Place Child Care Centre is looking for an individual to join our Board of Directors as a Board Member.

Since 1982, The Family Place has been providing quality child care for children in Halton Region. A non-profit organization, run by a Board of Directors, The Family Place has two child care centres, one based in Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School in Milton and one in Heritage Glen Public School in Oakville.

Licensed by the Ministry of Education, we meet and exceed the licensing standards laid out by the Child Care Early Year Act annually at both our centres. We are proud that we offer a positive, nurturing, learning environment for all our children.

Roles and Responsibilities of Board Member
As a Board Member of The Family Place, you will provide guidance to centre management in accordance to document and legal requirements.

You will also:

·       Work directly with the Executive Director and staff on legal (particularly employment law) matters.

·      Provide input on legal matters the organization.

·       Ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date.

·       Commit to a two-year term and attend bi-monthly Board of Director meetings. Meetings are currently held via Zoom. 

·       Assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors including developing, approving, and overseeing the policies and procedures.
