|Food for Life Volunteer||Halton Children's Aid Society, Burlington||This is one of the most vital roles we have at the Halton Children’s Aid. Once a week, the Food for Life organization provides food which we then distribute to families associated with our organization and identified as being “a family in need”.
Volunteers are required to sort the food into individual grocery bags and then deliver the food directly to the families. The volunteer could choose to do either the bagging or the delivery, or both. The time commitment is once a week, every Thursday in Acton. Confidentiality and commitment is of the utmost importance since these families rely on this service to help feed their children.
