| Environmental Volunteer - Recycling Revisited | Community Development Halton, Volunteer Halton | ![]() | We have several volunteer positions open: (1) to be one of 4 members of a fundraising subcommittee of Recycling Revisited, (2) to do information research in the area of recycling history in Ontario and Canada, (3)to search at your own pace, with no deadlines, for relevant news clippings in the Burlington Public Library newspaper archives, (4) to join our planning group for a public event to be held within a year to celebrate Burlington Citizens' pioneering in recycling, 1970-1983, (5) to film &/or conduct videotaped interviews to form an interview library of recycling pioneers with Halton background - possibly to become part of a mini-documentary. People of any age from teens to older ages could volunteer in one or more of the above activities: For #1 above, we need one experienced person to be a standby "coach", one who would coordinate and organize date, and two or three volunteers who would need good communication skills and ideally (but not necessarily, experience in fundraising.) For #2 above, a person with information retrieval skills would be ideal. For #3 above, someone who has good vision and does not mind working alone would be a good fit. For #4, anyone with a strong commitment to the environment, and with ability to work in a group would be a good fit. We meet weekly or bi-weekly in Burlington Aldershot area . For #5 above, someone with an interest in videotaping &/or interviewing would be a good fit. |
