The volunteer and child will spend time doing activities that are of interest to the child such as playing games, puzzles, crafts, reading, talking or sports. The match is based on fun. |Homework Club Study Mentor or Supervisor||Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton||High school students or adult volunteers will mentor a child in a local elementary school, after school, on a one-to-one basis. Involves assisting a child in grade 3-8 with their homework, playing educational games, and developing organizational skills. Adult volunteers may become Homework Club Supervisors at the site, charged with supervising the group of 16 students and 16 mentors. Involves providing direction to the group and administrative duties to ensure smooth functioning of the Homework Club.||Youth ; High School Students ; Adults aged 18 and up||Selected Oakville, Milton, Acton and Georgetown Elementary schools||Required|
|Go Girls! Program Facilitator||Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton||As a Go Girls! Facilitator your role is to lead a group of 8-10 grade 7 & 8 girls in a 7 week program focusing on Active Living, Balanced Eating and Feeling Good about themselves.||Adults aged 18 and up||Public and Catholic Elementary Schools in Oakville, Milton, Georgetown & Acton||Required|
|In-School Mentors||Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington, Burlington Office||In-School Mentors visit a children at a school once a week for one hour. Together on the school property the student and mentor focus on learning through fun, social, recreational and educational activities. Activities include: sports, crafts, board games, computer time, cooking and reading.||Adults aged 18 and up||Hamilton and Burlington Schools||Required|

Some activities include: snow tubing, attending a play, beach party, playing hockey/soccer and many more!
