Depending on the event- some events are 12 hours long so volunteer duties have a great range of needs. You don't have to stay 12 hours but there are a lot of opportunities.

The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join their leadership committee for the new, non-competitive Colours of Hope 5 km event that will be held on July 20th 2014 at Kelso Quarry in Milton. Ideal candidates must be organized and have a passion for working as part of a team in a lively, outdoor, festival environment. Volunteers will have a burning desire to spread the spirit of hope by encouraging participants throughout the event. Experience in event planning and knowledge of similar charitable events an asset. Specific areas of need will be focusing on food, equipment, team recruitment, marketing, and sponsorship. |Infant Food Bank Host and Organizer||Milton Community Resource Centre||What better to celebrate a birthday/anniversary/event than helping those in need.
If you are organizing or hosting personal or organizational events consider adding the Infant Food Bank as part of your plans. Simply ask your guests/participants to bring in a donation for the Infant Food Bank – diapers, formula, cereal or jars of baby food.
MCRC will provide posters and information about the Infant Food Bank and, if you like, a container for your guests to fill. You can drop your collected donations off to 410 Bronte Street South, Milton or we can arrange to pick them up.
