Special Steps/ Friendly Visitor VolunteerAcclaim Health   Visit once every week for 1-3 hours. Volunteers are needed to provide in home visits or to take clients out for short walks or drives to the mall, lakeshore, driving range, RBG/areas of interest, go shopping or have a coffee (you decide). Clients often have various challenges which cause social isolation and may include physical limitations or memory impairments – but matches are based on previous experience, area of interest and comfort level. Ongoing support from a supervisor is always available but this is an independent position. 
 
Exercise Program is for balance challenged Seniors living in the community. Volunteers will be trained in a free half day training session and certified with the CCAA. Time commitment is 1 hr per week for 12 wk cycles with one client. One year commitment is required for free training.

Summer Day Camp VolunteerROCK, Head Office  This volunteer position will include planning, preparing and implementing the Youth Aiding Youth Summer Day Camp Program. 
1. Along with staff, prepare for each daily session of the camp. This is done while still following the guidelines already outlined by the Youth Aiding Youth Program Supervisor.  
2. Assist with planning and offering of activities, including crafts, games, sports, etc. 
3. Take attendance each day. 
4. Ensure that all children are safe while at the camp. 
5. Be prepared to work one-to-one with some of the children as directed by Supervisor. 
6. Assist the Supervisor with monitoring the children’s behaviour.
