Special Steps/Friendly Visiting Oakville or BurlingtonAcclaim Health   Visit once every week for 1-3 hours. Volunteers are needed to provide in home visits or to take clients out for short walks or drives to the mall, lakeshore, driving range, RBG/areas of interest, go shopping or have a coffee (you decide). Clients often have various challenges which cause social isolation and may include physical limitations or memory impairments – but matches are based on previous experience, area of interest and comfort level. Ongoing support from a supervisor is always available but this is an independent position. 
 
Exercise Program is for balance challenged Seniors living in Burlington. Volunteers will be trained in a free half day training session and certified with the CCAA. Time commitment after training is 1 hr per week for 12 wk cycles with one client. One year commitment is required for free training.
