Duties

Role:

Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children by ensuring their wellbeing? If yes, we have the perfect role for you!

As a CityKidz First Aid Attendant, you will have the opportunity to give back to your community and build relationships with kids and volunteers alike! In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your leadership abilities and experiences, all while caring for children and volunteers, as you make their experience at CityKidz safe.

During your shift at CityKidz as a First Aid Attendant you will be the point person to assess and treat children aged 6-12 and/or volunteers on shift that have become injured or sick. Using your first aid training, you will be responsible to examine the care needed, and communicate that with the appropriate staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

 ·      Give professional care to children and volunteers needing first aid attention.

·       To show love and concern for the children in need of first aid attention.  

·       To complete First Aid Incident Reports for any children/volunteer whom you have given care to.  

·       Ensure the first aid room is kept clean and disinfected between each person in need of first aid.

·       Maintains adequate inventory of first aid supplies; requests additional supplies when needed.

·       At the end of the shift, the first aid attendant will change the bed sheet, disinfect surfaces, and restock any and all used materials.

 

Qualification:

·       Current certification in First Aid or CPR- level C 

·       Responsible and a good role model 

·       Works well under pressure.

·       Effective communicator.

·       Good judgment and evaluation skills.

·       Proficient in maintaining records and logs.

·       Competent and able to take initiative.

Must be able to follow all CityKidz policies and procedures.
