Comments

We believe every child matters and every child counts.

CityKidz was founded on a big dream to see a future free of child poverty; a future where all children have equal opportunity to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Through faith, hope and love, we seek to transform lives and end child poverty, one child at a time.

Duties

Do you have a passion to be part of a team that creates a safe and welcoming
environment for each child that attends programs at CityKidz? If yes, we have the
perfect role for you!

Throughout your shift in the hallway, you will be the point person for children as
they exit the theatre and look to be directed to the washrooms and/ or assisted
with getting cups of water. It is essential in this role to stay alert and to have an
engaging personality, as children are constantly entering and exiting the hallway.
As a hallway team member, you play a crucial role as you actively live out the
mission of CityKidz. Through the ways you interact and build deep connections
with children that visit the hallway on a Saturday, you are constantly creating
inspirational experiences and have the opportunity to develop personal
relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Work in a team of 2 adult leaders, as well as with Jr. Leaders.
-Help kids with the water cooler as they enter the hallway with their water
pass.
-Supervising Jr. Leaders.
-Direct children to their correct bathroom with their pass.
-Conversing with kids needing a break from the theatre.
-Redirecting children if there are behavioral incidents in the hallway.
-Keeping the hallway clear by redirecting children back to the theatre once
they have gotten their water or gone to the washroom.
-Communicating with staff via the walkie-talkie when needed.
