Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Adult Day Program -- comprehensive preventative and rehabilitation services for South Asians who have cognitive impairment, frail/elderly with chronic disability or illness such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, arthritis, diabetes, stroke and muscular dystrophy * designed to promote physical, mental, emotional and social stimulation * a hot, nutritious vegetarian breakfast and lunch along with structured activities are provided * other services include information and education for caregivers on various illnesses and disabilities, caregivers support and counselling, transportation assistance may be available with other agencies

Senior Wellness Program -- weekly structured program for healthy seniors

Friendly Visiting Program for isolated seniors in their home, hospital, or in a long-term care facility where volunteers engage clients in one-on-one meaningful activities and includes ongoing security reassurance checks by telephone * caregiver support and counselling in one-on-one or family sessions
