Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) The Women's Centre of Halton has suspended all in-person interaction. All workshops, in-person peer support, legal clinics and tax clinic have been suspended indefinitely. Peer support continues to be offered via telephone - please call 289-878-1943 or 905-847-5520 --------------------------------------------------- Acts as resource hub for women in crisis, distress or transition in a caring, confidential, non-judgement and safe environment. The Support program empowers women to alleviate social isolation, to foster independence, and to promote self-sufficiency. Offers one-on-one support services by phone or in person, for women facing abuse, grief/loss, legal, addictions, senior support, coping strategies for stress, mental health, parenting and relationship issues. * confidentiality is ensured * no appointment necessary Services at the Milton location include: * One on One Peer Support Services * Family Law Legal Clinic for Women * information and referral, resource library * virtual group workshops (self care, stress management, anxiety and depression) |
