Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Serves as a hub where people meet in both structured and casual ways to engage in social, recreational, educational, artistic, cultural, and community building opportunities. The focus is on providing programs that meet the needs of children, youth, seniors, low income and vulnerable residents.  
 
Programs include: 
Nourishing Neighbours Food Bank  
 
Community Dinner 
* enjoy a hot dinner on the third Thursday of each month 
 
Alzheimer Society of Hamilton Halton  
* services include in-person counselling, support groups and recreation 
* programs run Tuesday and Friday 9 am-4 pm * Thursday 1 pm-3 pm 
 
The Centre for Skills Development and Training  
* one-on-one support from an employment advisor in job searching, résumé writing, interview skills, career advice Second Career funding and connecting with employers  
 
ROCK's Positive Space Network  
* a drop in centre that provides activities and support services targeted especially to LGBTQ+ youth 
 
Oakville Parent Child Centre 
* offers "Mother Goose" - a free drop-in program for parents and infants with songs, music and rhymes  
 
TEACH  
* a peer support initiative for individuals ages 16 and older who have experienced mental health or substance use challenges and have interacted with the mental health system 
 
Seniors for Seniors 
* provides seniors supported through Community Living Oakville and seniors who do not have a developmental disability opportunities to socialize, learn, have fun and make friends 
 
Opening in 2017 Hopedale Montessori School  
* a government licensed child care centre  
 
Bronte Creek Community Residents Association  
* speaks on behalf of community residents on issues including development, traffic and transportation, recreational facilities and by-laws  
 
Walking Group (Free) 
* open to all ages and abilities 
* join us to walk around the neighbourhood, make a new friend and get some exercise 
* every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm 
 
Toonie Bridge & Euchre 
* $2 for a fun afternoon of cards, coffee, tea and cookies 
 
Other activities include: 
* line dancing  
* gojo ryu karate  
* tai chi 
* zumba
