Description and Service Details
Description (Service) A program that provides limited funding (in the form of both grants and loans) to eligible homeowners for home modifications that are needed to improve accessibility and independent living for a member of the household. 
The current HARP program ends on December 31, 2019.

Areas Served Halton Region
Eligibility You may be eligible for HARP 2019 funding if: 
* you are the sole owner(s) of the home in which you live 
* you have not started home modifications 
* all members of your household have legal status in Canada 
* your total household income is $96,200 or less 
* the value of your property is $963,624 or less as per MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation) or certified appraisal 
* your property tax, mortgage payments and home insurance (for the full value of the property) are all paid up to date
Application There is a limited amount of program funding available for each program year. 
* homeowners or agencies (on behalf of homeowner clients) should call 3-1-1 or 905-825-6000 to be added to the list 
* application forms will only be provided if there is funding available for immediate consideration 
* if no funding is available the names of interested applicants will be placed on a waiting list on a first come first served basis and will be contacted and sent an application form when they are at the top of the list and funding becomes available
