Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Peer initiative of Support & Housing - Halton 
* offers peer-run education and support programs throughout Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (MH LHIN) 
* workshops and drop-in groups provide a safe, non-judgmental space for peer-led group conversations 
 
Services include: 
CheckPoint 
* weekly drop-in group open to anyone who feels they could benefit from peer support in a group setting 
* no referral or pre-registration needed 
* running in multiple locations throughout Halton and Mississauga 
 
Anxiety Management Workshop 
* an education and support group for individuals who are dealing with anxiety and/or panic attacks 
 
Self-Esteem Workshop 
* an education and support group for individuals experiencing low self-esteem or poor self-image  
 
Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) 
* helps participants discover their own wellness toolbox, develop a daily maintenance plan, identify triggers and early warning signs of distressful feelings/behaviours 
 
SeniorTALK 
* a series of guided conversations to help older adults connect with others who are facing the challenges and rewards or aging 
 
Youth programs 
Just Be You 
* a weekly drop-in group that offers a social, recreational based program for youth ages 15-25 living with concerns about their mental health 
* youth can hang out, socialize and take part in activities  
 
Volunteer Program 
* volunteering with TEACH is a great way for individuals to meet new people, broaden their support system and develop skills that can have a positive impact on their professional and personal lives 
* offers a range of volunteer opportunities for individuals who have struggled with mental health and/or substance use challenges
Hours Office hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm * some groups/workshops are also held in the evening

Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
Individuals age 16 and older who are living with a mental health and/or substance use/behavioural addiction challenge.
