Description (Service) Halton Region Health Department offers a variety of immunization services:  
* provides information and counselling about immunizations and vaccines 
* maintains an immunization database for all children in child care and students in schools 
* enforces associated legislation  
* distributes publicly funded vaccine to community providers, including to physician offices, pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement and rest homes, and allied health care agencies 
* provides routine publicly funded immunizations for the public, including seasonal influenza clinics and school immunization clinics  
* provides cold chain inspections for fridges housing publicly funded vaccine
