DescriptionSheridan offers ESL in both full-time and part-time levels. All levels include language lab and enrichment classes with teacher support to develop skills in all areas.  
 
ESL Full-time Programs:  
5 levels of instruction: 
Foundations * Pre-Intermediate * Intermediate * Advanced * EAP (English for Academic Purposes) 
Note: Foundations is only offered if there is sufficient enrollment 
 
First four levels consists of an A and B module * each module seven weeks 25 hours per week * instruction includes grammar, listening and speaking, pronunciation (from Foundations to Intermediate) and reading and writing 
 
Fifth level EAP * 14 weeks 22 hours per week * English Language Studies General Arts and Science One-Year Certificate upon completion * includes EAP listening and speaking, EAP reading and writing, computer applications (3 hour credit course) and General Education course (3 hour credit course) 
 
Classes are offered at both the Davis Campus in Brampton and the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville 
* Levels 3,4,5 are offered at the Trafalgar Campus 
* Level 1 (if enrollment is sufficient), 2, 3, 4, and 5 are offered at Davis 
 
ESL Part-time Courses:

* Effective Speaking and Listening 
* Pronunciation 
* Speaking Canadian English  
* Writing Effectively 
* English for the Workplace 
* ESL - Grammar Skills 
* College Communications for ESL

Sheridan offers four programs to assist those that need to improve their skills in order to enter a post-secondary college program, an apprenticeship program or for employment: 
* Academic Upgrading: English, Math, Biology and Chemistry for college entrance 
* English as a Second Language full-time program for college entrance (PGASE) 
* Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) 
* Enhanced Language Training (ELT), Workplace Communication Skills (Occupation Specific Language Training), with work placement
