Description & Services
DescriptionThis program works to ensure that older adults and adults with special needs have access to oral care and dental treatment. 
 
* adults over 65 years of age 
* adults with special needs: adults aged 64 years and younger who have difficulty with the activities of daily living (e.g. dressing, grooming) 
 
Oral health resources and supports available: 
* oral health printed resources available through Halton Region Health Department 
* online oral health skills videos for caregivers of older adults and adults with special needs available on the website 
 
Dental Care Counts Fund 
* a program of the Halton Region Health department that provides financial assistance for dental treatment to those who qualify: 
* must be an older adult or an adult with special needs  
* has a dental need 
* lacks the financial resources to pay for treatment
