Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Provides free language instruction to adult newcomers who want to learn or improve their English language skills. 
Language Assessment Centres 
* conduct language assessments and provide referrals to all of the language training providers in the Region of Halton 
* Halton Language Assessment Site is at The Centre for Education & Training, 171 Speers Road, Oakville 
Language Classes 
* once a language assessment has been completed (in Burlington, Milton or Oakville) students can attend classes at any of these locations 
* classes focus on the development of English or French speaking, reading, writing and listening skills 
* may include computer assisted language training 
* a Home Study Program is available for those who cannot attend regular LINC classes 
* available to meet the needs of people with a range of disabilities 
* classes offered on a full-time and part-time basis with flexible options regarding the timing of sessions 
* transportation and child-minding may be available to participants at some locations
