| Description | * a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching, educating and supporting the community through the celebration and affirmation of the history, culture, and lives of Halton's diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual, and ally (LGBTTTIQQAA) communities Programs and Services Positive Space Training: * provided for local service providers, organizations, and companies * raises awareness and brings visibility to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities * educates about homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism and how that can affect your staff, clientele, and services * the expectation is that each person who completes this training will gain an understanding of how to make their workplace a safe, welcoming, and respectful space for individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities COOL (Colouring Outside of the Lines): * offers monthly COOL youth groups in Oakville, Burlington, and Halton Hills * social groups that meet once a month from 7 pm to 9 pm * all LGBTTTIQQAA youth ages 13 to 19 are welcome * join us for a fun evening of socializing, sharing gay literature or movies, making crafts, or just chatting * the Oakville Youth group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, at the Oakville Central Public Library, 120 Navy St., Oakville in the program room in the Children's department * the Halton Hills group meets on the second Tuesday of every month, at 224 Maple Avenue in Georgetown * the Burlington Youth group meets on the last Tuesday of every month at the Burlington Central Public Library, 2331 New St. in the Builder's Room on the 2nd floor * email info@haltonpride.org for details | ||
