| Description | Community Living Oakville offers two programs that help individuals with their living arrangements. Supported Independent Living: * alternative to group home living * support to individuals to live independently * focuses on skill development with tasks such as banking, cooking, grocery shopping. Support can begin while the person is still living with their family or they could be living in the community already and require support for a certain time period. The amount of support provided can vary with each person. Residential Services: * 12 homes with five people living in each home * homes comply with guidelines established by the Ministry of Community & Social Services * adults receiving support pay monthly room and board determined by the ministry. Two models of residential support: traditional homes where staff work rotational shifts or live-in manager homes. Staff in each home provide support with daily life skills, recreation, finances, medical needs and community integration. Our goal is to provide people the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential. | ||
