| Description | The Coalition is a not-for-profit community-based partnership of persons with disabilities and community groups working collaboratively to affect positive changes for persons with disabilities. Programs include: Employment Access: * a one-stop employment service for all persons with disabilities who want assistance in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining competitive employment Employment PAH! Workshop: * a workshop for individuals that are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and fluent in ASL to learn fundamental employability skills Work Readiness for Youth: * a program that includes a paid 8 week essential employment skills workshop followed by a 7 week work experience Student Transition Program: * a partnership with the Peel District School Board to enhance the employability of students with disabilities Connections Resource Fair: * a showcase of products and services for persons with disabilities * in a trade show environment, visitors meet exhibitors and learn about the products, services and supports available to them in the community Accessible Customer Service Workshops: * help organizations understand and comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) . | ||
