Description (Service)An 1820's farm home with almost entirely original structure, furnished from the period. 
* built in 1829 at the Thomas farm, west of Sixteen Mile Creek, and was moved to its current location in the mid-1950s 
* Oakville Historical Society volunteers engage in a variety of activities typical of pioneer farm living: *cooking at the open heart * carding and spinning wool * preparing and drying fruit and herbs
