Description (Agency) The purpose of the Orchestra is to enrich the cultural landscape of Oakville by creating a passion for chamber music concerts, developing local amateur musicians of all ages, and promoting Canadian soloists.

Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Amateur musicians presenting the music they love in small, intimate chamber setting. 
* core is string players augmented by wind, brass and percussion players, allowing for the presentation of a large musical repertoire by masters of all periods 
* registered charity 
* subscription series of small concerts in intimate chamber setting 
* youth concerto competition providing opportunity for your musicians to play with the orchestra as soloist with scholarship to further musical endeavours 
* youth and seniors outreach providing cultural enrichment

The Magic of Mozart: past OCO Youth Concerto Competition winner Linda Ruan returns as soloist, performing Mozart’s famous “Elvira Madigan” Piano Concerto #21

The Shades of Love: The Ancient Greeks had at least 7 words for love, to describe the many existing varieties of this emotion. Concert will explore the best words of the ancient Greeks describing love. Highlights Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben and the Waltz From Tchaikovsky’s String Serenade. Soloists, Cassandra Warner, Mezzo-Soprano, Sara Schabas, Soprano, and Past OCO Youth Concerto Competition Winner Tiffany Yeung, violin.

Concerto Competition Grand Prize Winners: Each year senior and junior category grand prizewinners perform a concerto with OCO.
